Happy RetirementHappy Retirement

Arthur Roman, our driver and Maintenance worker for the past 6 years at CRCH. Mr Roman mentioned at his farewell that he wanted to give back to the community and working at CRCH , making a difference in the lives of our children, being on call and helping where needed – was a calling. We wish him well as he begins a journey – Happy Retirement, Mr Roman!!!

Beautifying the new indoor Playroom

With the latest renovations, the upstairs playroom was completed – This painting done by Mural Maniac was specifically designed by the artist incorporating the characters that the children love and mentioned.

The room is used by the Occupational therapist and speech therapist and students from UCT when they do their individual play / activities. On rainy days, staff have the option to let a few children watch TV and others enjoy muscle exercises.

Adopt a child Outing 3rd November 2018Adopt a child Outing 3rd November 2018

Adopt a child outing held on 3rd November 2018 to Farm Yard Resort in Klapmuts. More than 98 adults, 68 children was carted in the Bus and 19 vehicles to the venue. The weather was great – “not too hot and not too cold” – Thank you to everybody who made this day a success – the children enjoyed the day and it was nice to see them with their respective hosts.

Thank you to Golden Arrow – especially Bronwyn Dyke-Beyers for arranging the sponsorship of the Bus for the day.

Children’s Visiting The Giraffe HouseChildren’s Visiting The Giraffe House

The group C children were sponsored by the Brand New Marketing company to visit Giraffe House just outside Stellenbosch. The children excitedly fed the animals but gave caution to the snakes and spiders when the park ranger brought them closer. The children had a hands on experience as they were even shown how to stroke the animals. A special thanks to the team of Brand New Marketing for this outing and for providing lunch and snacks for the children.
Thank you guys for making this day special for our children!
